Cesto

Tradition in the form of sustainable design
Cesto is a playful manifesto for the circular economy that reinterprets Portugal’s cultural heritage, combining the ancestral art of traditional basket-weaving with a contemporary approach to environmental responsibility.
More than just a functional object, it stands as a design piece with a strong cultural and ecological identity.
Its outer structure is made entirely from acacia wood, crafted by local artisans, highlighting traditional craftsmanship.
Inside, comfort takes shape through an upcycling process, featuring modular cubes of soft, viscoelastic foam, upholstered using the creative reuse of surplus textiles and recycled fabrics from Botaca’s production.
The result is a sustainable, expressive piece that is deeply rooted in Portuguese identity.
