Rodilhas

Reviving Memory and Portuguese Identity

The Rodilhas armchair stems from a desire to preserve and reinterpret Portuguese heritage, offering a fresh perspective on the gestures, objects, and memories that shape our collective identity.

More than just a piece of furniture, it stands as a design manifesto where tradition, innovation, and sustainability coexist in perfect harmony.

Its concept transforms everyday rural references into a contemporary language, creating a narrative that honors the past while making room for new ways of living and inhabiting space.

Its distinctive signature lies in the *rodilhas* upholstery—traditional fabric coils used by women to balance baskets and water jugs on their heads.

Crafted from yarn reclaimed from textile waste, these coils lend the piece a unique identity, promoting the circular economy and celebrating the value of Portuguese craftsmanship.
